Achieving the Impossible

As children we dreamed of seeming-impossible feats like crawling, and worked at them every day. Finally, amazingly, we would accomplish that incredibly difficult task and walk with our own two feet - standing on top of the world with our success.

Every day we would envision feats, like learning to speak and understand language or learning to count and read. Then we would emerge triumphant and successful with every new achievement.

Then we became adults and retired from school and learning, and stopped having dreams and goals... if we had ideas to do something great, we were shot down by cynics and skeptics who told us it was impossible. But hadn't we done impossible things before? Like crawling and walking and speaking fluently in a new language? Why are all our big dreams now considered silly or a waste of time by people who are going nowhere in life?

I can see now why Jesus said to become as a little child. Children continue dreaming of the impossible and strive for it every day, until they succeed. And after one success like crawling, they dream of something even bigger like walking. They believe that anything is possible, even if they have NO IDEA how it will be done.

Children are undaunted by failure. How many times have you seen a baby fall over, and immidiatey get back up to try again? How many falls does it really take before that final confident walk, which later turns into a run? How many times does a kid say something wrong and have to be corrected until his English is right?

Children don't seem to be ruffled in the least by their failures. They know it is all part of getting to their final destination, and they have learned it over and over again with their amazing accomplishments.

How does this confidence in goal setting and accomplishments wither away when we get older? I believe we start listening to all the negative voices around us that tell us our dreams are impossible and stupid. That is why I've decided to start this series of videos & blogging with the POSITIVE voice of encouragement and motivation that I never had in my life.

Even amidst the negativity of my childhood, I have an undaunted belief in the power of each human life to do something amazing for mankind, and I want to help you discover that in yourself too.

Some of the topics you can look forward to are:
Turning Weakness into Strength
Grattitude- the secret to happiness
Your power to Create
Goal Setting- what turns dreams into a plan
Consistency- what turns plans into success
